She then held both of his hands and put them on her chest.
The one who was calling was her father, he asked why she was inside the room with the door closed.
Kafee said she and Daddy were talking and didn’t hear him knocking.
She then hurried to open the door.
But when Kafee opened the door, he saw the two of them standing very close to each other.
He didn’t say anything, he just went back to his room and closed the door.
His heart was pounding because of what he saw.
He kept thinking, "Is this really my sister and my father?"
He couldn’t believe it.
He sat on his bed with his head in his hands.
"Why is this happening in my house?" he thought.
He remembered how close Sadiya and Daddy had always been, but he never thought it would get to this.
He felt sick and confused.
He decided he needed to talk to someone, but who could he trust?
He couldn’t tell his mother because she was already sick.
He also couldn’t tell his friends because it was too shameful.
So he just stayed in his room, praying to Allah for guidance.
That night he couldn’t sleep.
He kept hearing noises from Sadiya’s room.
Early in the morning, he heard Daddy leaving for work.
Sadiya also came out, acting like nothing happened.
She even greeted him with a smile.
Kafee just nodded and went to the bathroom.
While brushing his teeth, he looked at himself in the mirror and said, "I have to do something."
He remembered his uncle Abdulkarim who lived in Abuja.
He thought maybe he should call him and tell him what was going on.
But he was scared that if he did, it would break the family apart.
He sighed and left the house for school, but his mind wasn’t there at all.

"Girl, this matter is serious," the lady in the office said while Abdulkarim was sitting with her.
"We have to find a way to handle this before it gets worse."
Abdulkarim rubbed his face.
"Wallahi I don’t know what to do anymore.
This is my brother’s house.
If I interfere too much, they’ll say I’m causing problems.
If I keep quiet, who knows what will happen next."
The woman nodded.
"At least talk to Sadiya.
She’s still young.
Maybe she doesn’t understand what she’s doing."
Abdulkarim agreed.
"I’ll go to the house this evening.
I’ll find a way to speak with her alone."
That evening he went to the house.
He met Sadiya in the kitchen.
"How are you, my daughter?" he asked.
"I’m fine, Uncle," she replied with a small smile.
He looked around to make sure no one was listening.
"Sadiya, I need to talk to you about something important.
About you and... your father."
Sadiya’s face changed immediately.
Her eyes dropped to the floor.
"Uncle, please... don’t say anything."
Abdulkarim sighed.
"My child, what you’re doing is wrong.
It will destroy this family.
Please, for the sake of Allah, stop."
Sadiya started crying quietly.
"I don’t know how it started, Uncle.
He’s always been close to me... and I... I got used to it."
Abdulkarim’s heart broke hearing that.
He put his hand on her shoulder.
"We will fix this, Insha Allah.
But you have to be strong."
