*Chapter 07*
Sunga went to Mami's place because before they even finished bathing, they rested and she started serving them homemade juices that she specially made for them. Al'ameen came in with Mami’s things and dropped them in their room.
After resting for a while, Falon and the others headed to the stairs toward their rooms. Mamin’s room was next to Falon’s, and Na'ima’s was right beside Falon and Mami’s, while Nafisa’s was opposite them in the corridor.
When Na'ima entered the room, she first organized the clothes, then neatly arranged everything. On the bed was the big teddy bear that Abubakar had brought for her as a "welcome back" gift. She picked up the teddy, walked around the room looking at it as if she had missed it, then went and opened the big wardrobe. Inside, she saw that her clothes were already arranged — some hung, some folded neatly in a drawer.
She stood in front of the wardrobe with a happy heart and said to herself, _"I missed this."_ She really missed the pampering that Mami used to give her, and she felt she made the right choice by coming back.
Mami came in holding clean towels and said, _"Look, I told you before that Lantana arranged your rooms, but I forgot."_ Na'ima quickly stood up to hug Mamin, but Mami didn’t let her. She said, _"The rest of you greet your mom first."_
Nafisa said, _"Let me greet Mami first."_ She went and hugged her and kissed her cheek. Na'ima just nodded and said _"Oh."_ Mami smiled at her and said, _"Welcome home daughter."_ She smiled sweetly, said nothing else, and left for Nafisa’s room.
After bathing, she came out wearing a simple light black abaya with a head tie and scarf. She met Nafisa in the living room and they were chatting with Al'ameen and Abubakar who had just returned from school.
Abubakar saw her and shouted, _"Aunty, I missed you!"_ smiling as he ran to hug her. She said, _"I missed you too,"_ and that’s how they all sat in the living room and started talking about how school was.
Mami came from the kitchen to the big living room carrying a food flask. She set the dining area table and called the other children to come. She said, _"Come and eat quickly, and don’t waste food."_ So they all went to the dining room.
After they finished, Nafisa asked, _"Mami, where’s Abba?"_
Mami replied, _"He went to work, he didn’t call me."_
Nafisa brought a cooler with her favorite dish and a plate and said, _"I’ll save this for him for when he arrives."_
Mami said, _"Don’t bother, he’ll eat at work."_ Then Mami turned to Na'ima and said, _"Habibti, did you check the coolers? Is there your favorite food?"_
Nafisa answered, _"We brought and put her favorite food, Mami."_
Abubakar looked at Na'ima and said, _"And you too, Aunty."_
Na'ima nodded and said, _"I saw it, thank you."_
Al'ameen said, _"This is her job since forever."_
Mami added, _"She will come back later, she said they have a lot of work."_
Na'ima nodded and continued eating.
In the evening after Abba came back, they ate and rested, then went to greet him in the big living room.
When they entered and greeted him, Nafisa quickly went close to him and sat down saying, _"Abbaa."_
He also replied, _"My children, Abba, how are you?"_
Na'ima went and sat beside him quietly. He said, _"Get up and sit on a chair, daughter."_
She smiled and said, _"No,"_ and insisted on staying. Then she got up and sat on another chair a bit away from them.
Mami came in with a tray of tea, a flask, and cups. Na'ima got up, took it from her, and placed it on the table in front of Abba, then went back to sit. Mamin went into Abba’s room to tell him something.
